CWJ Food Bank Challenge: Day 8

Today was a bit of a crazy day to say the to say the least.  Yesterday, we made a huge double batch of my favourite tomato sauce that will come in handy for recipes throughout the week.  The first recipe that we made with it was for breakfast this morning: 

Brunch (1 pm) Toast w/ Poached Eggs in Tomato Sauce Total Cost: $1.45

Dinner (8 pm) Pizza and Beer @ a Friend's House Total Cost: $0 A friend of ours held an election party so we could all watch the results together, and he had ordered pizza and beer for the occasion.  As a result, dinner rang in at $0. 
Snack (10 pm) Brown Sugar Shortbread Total Cost: $1.34
While we continued to watch the election coverage well into the night, we noshed on more of these cookies from yesterday.  Total time spent preparing food today:  x  Total Daily Meal Cost: $1.40/person (2.80 total)
Under Budget: $2.60/person ($5.20 total)
