Buddha Bowls & The Perfect Steak

As promised, here is the ingredient list for our FREE Zoom Cooking Class this upcoming Sunday!

If you haven't done so already - you can register for this class HERE

The Perfect Steak

Ingredients
- Steak* (Brian will be cooking a New York Strip steak, but use whatever type of steak is your favourite!)
- 2-3 tbsp cornstarch (per steak)
- steak spice (Brian recommends KEG's steak spice, but use whichever you prefer)
- Garlic Powder
- Butter
- Tinfoil
* Steak will need to be at room temperature at the start of class for optimal results

If you'd prefer chicken with your Buddha bowls, simply swap the steak spice for chicken spice
Chimichurri Sauce
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup finely chopped parsley
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped or minced
- 1-2 small red chilis, deseeded and finely chopped (about 1 tbsp)*
- 3/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 - 1 tsp coarse salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
If you can't find fresh chilis, you can used dried chili flakes, just to add a bit of heat
Buddha Bowl

This bowl is an epic leftover bowl.  You can use your favourite sauce and whatever ingredients you have on hand.
These are Tracy's favourites:

Buddha Bowl Sauce
- 1 - 16 oz jar roasted red peppers, drained*
- 2 cloves. garlic
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 lemon, squeezed
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup almonds
*You can find jars of roasted red peppers near the pickle isle - if you can't find these - grab a couple of red peppers and roast them in the oven at 425 for 5-10 minutes, until they start to blister slightly - barbecued works great also.
Add Ins (choose your favourites or add your own!):
- steak
- chicken thighs or breast
- tzatziki sauce
- baba ganoush
- hummus
- chickpeas
- black beans
- olives
- sprouts (bean or alfalfa)
